Andreas has kindly reviewed a Bengali/Indian restaurant, Shanti Gossip in Stockholm.
Shanti Gossip is the third out of five restaurants opened in Stockholm by owner Nahid Hassan, serving curries, biryani, pakora, paratha, and other dishes from India and Bangladesh.
This particular evening, we started with the Dall Poori with Chana Dall, a delicious lentil curry which comes with deep fried poori bread and a couple of dip sauces.
One of the highlights of the evening was the Kofta Veggie Curry, an explosion of flavours made of deep fried vegetable balls with mustard oil and rolled in bread crumbs, served in a tasty curry of God (and Nahid) knows what spices.
At other visits, we have also tried the Eggplant with Sugar Peas Curry, where half an aubergine has been cut into pieces and mixed with chili, lemon grass, coconut milk and spices, and is served with honey and paratha bread; the Salmon Bengali Curry, where the taste of turmeric mixes perfectly with the ginger, cumin and coriander; and Lamb Biryani, where cinnamon, cloves and saffron melt together to create a delightful dish.

Stockholm nightlife is all about finding that perfect bar or restaurant to suit your style and your tatse buds.
Emma believes some of the best restaurants in Stockholm lie in Södermalm which is far enough away from the tourist traps and business districts of central Stockholm.
You’ll always find traditional dishes of meatballs, cured salmon, and the SOS appetizer platter with Swedish cheeses and herring.
On the beer list you’ll find some of the best of what Sweden has to offer (not the bland, standards you’ll find in most bars) There aren’t many Vietnamese restaurants in Stockholm so it didn’t take long for me to find Nem Nem Quan.
The pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) is good, but the duck dishes are my favorites.

Åt lunch här idag, även om det var mycket folk så fanns det en lugn och trevlig fönsterplats.
Stod inget om veganskt på menyn men hon som tog beställningen hade koll och berättade att en av rätterna på dagens gick att få vegansk; wokade grönsaker med tofu i stället för kött - min kompis beställde den och det var riktigt gott tyckte han.
Av de ca tre dagens går det alltid att få minst en i vegansk tappning.
Förutom tofu hade de förresten sojabiff tillbuds.
Prisvärt och serveringen var rask.
